HÃ¥llbart Universitet (HU) is Lund University’s environmental student organization

Since 1995 HU has been engaged in environmental and sustainability projects in Lund. We work by the motto
"think global, act local" and have both local and international issues on our agenda. With our diverse backgrounds
and knowledge we form an interdisciplinary and international organization that seeks to make Lund a greener city!

Check out our projects and/or join one of our general meetings that take place every other Monday at 17:15
in the LUS Conference Room, 4th floor in the AF Castle to get an overview of what we are doing.

We are also members of the Swedish Ecodemics, Sweden's largest network of environmental organizations
at universities and colleges.

RACE FOR THE BALTIC

On June 8th, World Ocean Day, the RACE FOR THE BALTIC cycling team started their journey along the coast of the Baltic Sea to raise awareness and collect signatures for action to restore the environmental health of the Baltic Sea.

The total ride will encompass:

  • 9 countries
  • 3 500 km
  • 3 months

HU supported the team during Havets Dag in Malmö.

If you also want to show your support, there are numerous ways to get involved with the ride!

Planet Lund 2013 – Urban Gardening Days

Planet Lund is back! This time with an intense weekend full of urban gardening activities!

The first day (Friday, May 24th) will be filled with interesting seminars & workshops + free organic lunch!

  • 2c. Learning and sharing — global outlooks with Rebecca Laycock, LUMES student and Eduardo N. Rechden, IIIEE student – in English

HU CAN! Semester Challenge VT13 – Reinventing Folkets Park

HU CAN! presents a real life project that is bringing together students from different backgrounds to make Folkets Park more integrated and more sustainable!
